Silicon carbide 120/220 is the medium/fine grit for step two of the four-step rock tumbling process. It removes the scratches left by coarse 60/90 grit and leaves stones smooth and evenly matte, ready for the pre-polish step.
Use it in rotary and vibratory tumblers, and for lapping and other fine grinding work. A single grit is an inexpensive way to restock the step you use most, or to re-run a batch that needs another week in medium grit.
